06 / SERVICES & BATHROOMS

Can a tent lodge have a private bathroom?

A bathroom appears in the picture, but nobody has defined drainage, hot water or local connections.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Compare bathroom layouts only after mapping the site’s water, wastewater and power arrangements.

Practical planning suggestions informed by the references below. Confirm requirements for the selected model and project location.

01

Choose the guest arrangement

Compare an internal bathroom, a separate bathroom module and shared amenities against privacy, walking distance and housekeeping. These are planning options; availability and permitted configuration need confirmation for the actual project.

02

Define interfaces in the quote

Ask who provides fixtures, waterproofing, hot-water equipment, ventilation, piping inside the room and the external connections. Draw a clear handover point between factory scope and local installation. A supplied bathroom is not a commissioned service connection.

03

Coordinate with the site application

A Western Downs council application example requests site information on water, wastewater and sanitation. Use your local authority’s current requirements when planning the layout, then have the relevant local specialists assess the connections before fixing room positions.

Sources & context

Manufacturer references illustrate questions to resolve; they are not performance or service claims for FIELDLODGE products. Regional approval examples do not determine requirements elsewhere.
