05 / MAINTENANCE & PARTS

How should a canvas lodge be maintained and repaired?

Mildew or a damaged panel can disrupt bookings when cleaning instructions and spares are missing.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Buy a maintenance plan and parts information alongside the room specification.

Practical planning suggestions informed by the references below. Confirm requirements for the selected model and project location.

01

Get material-specific care instructions

CanvasCamp advises drying before storage and regular cleaning and retreatment according to conditions. Do not transfer a cleaning recipe between cotton, coated fabric and PVC without confirmation from the relevant supplier.

02

Inspect components, not just appearance

Create a room record for fabric panels, roof, frame, fasteners, glazing, flooring and closures. Note the supplier’s inspection instructions and warranty terms separately for each. Eco Structures’ FAQ shows that canvas and structural components can have different service-life and warranty descriptions.

03

Make replacement practical

Before ordering multiple rooms, request panel identifiers, a spare-parts list, replacement prices and lead times. Ask whether a damaged door or wall panel can be replaced independently. Track defects and response time during the first phase.

Sources & context

Manufacturer references illustrate questions to resolve; they are not performance or service claims for FIELDLODGE products. Regional approval examples do not determine requirements elsewhere.
